My pregnancy journey + Ada's nursery

Welp, I've got 14 days til my due date, so I figured I should finally share some of my pregnancy photos before baby arrives!  Once she is here, I know my pregnancy will be long forgotten!  My husband, Josh happens to be extremely talented behind the lens - so he helped document the pregnancy.  I also have to give credit to Teresa Conway for the photos of Josh and I.  Thanks Teresa!  I'm sharing Ada's nursery photos too - because we love it.



6 months

We love Presque Isle on Lake Erie

This is about the time when I started wearing nothing but dresses... pants are too uncomfortable with this low baby bump.  I was not comfortable with anything wrapped around my belly.

Glad you can't see my cankles right now - because they are bad! No more photos of me until baby arrives!  I feel and look like a marshmallow.  Come on baby Grady!!  We are dying to meet you! :-)

Lily Amber Russell - Newborn Photography (May 2012)

Lily Amber was born early in the morning hours on May 24, 2012...  It was probably the most exciting day for our family since my little sister Liz was born roughly 25 years ago.  Without going into details of the day, lets just say I was floored by the amount of love I had for this tiny baby the moment I saw her for the first time.  My own pregnancy hormones must have been raging, because I couldn't stop sobbing while we carefully passed her around from family member to family member in the delivery room.  She was the most alert, yet calm newborn I'd ever seen.  She was just as interested in us as we were of her.  These photos were taken when she was just a few days old.  It was so hard to get her to sleep for us that day, she was deliberately hating on me and my camera for some reason.  I'm also pretty sure she pooped on her Mommy and peed on the Terrible Towel that day... unforgivable.  LOL.
